What's it like to be a mature student at QMUL?

No matter your age, you'll find your people

If you spend any time on popular student message boards, you might have already seen people asking: will I make friends at uni if I'm not the same age as everybody else?

Will it feel awkward? Will I be lonely? Am I alone in this? (The answer: not at all!)

Students in the UK typically go straight to university after sixth form or college, so it's true that a majority of first years will be around 18 years old. But that's certainly not everyone, and certainly nothing to worry about if you're not exactly 18 on move-in day.
