What is it?
The group provides a space to discuss topics and impacts around sexual assault, violation and/or violence while also exploring coping strategies that people have found useful in the past. It will look at resources and exercises, and you will receive a selection of resources that you can use in your own time.
What will we do?
These sessions will involve a mix of large group, small group, and pairs work. It will have an agenda of topics which will be shared ahead of time but if you have any ideas about what you would like to cover/bring to the space, please do let us know at your pre-group assessment.

A space for the group will run weekly at our Mile End campus at 2pm-3.30pm on:

Who runs the groups?
The peer-support group is delivered by the Advice and Counselling Service, with facilitators coming from the Sexual Assault and Harassment Advice Service and Mental Health Advice teams.
Who is it for?
- Any Queen Mary student who has experienced sexual violation, assault, or violence (at any point in their life)
- Open to all or no gender identities
- Those who register will be invited to a remote pre-group appointment to discuss expectations, ask questions, and see if the group is a good fit

You will be required to attend all 6 sessions so please do keep this in mind when signing up.
